Assistant Practice Manager
The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Our data entry clerks are Alison Airey and Denise Vit. They enter clinical data onto the computer system from letters and results received into the practice, and scan documents into patients’ health records. They also summarise and data check new patients records, order supplies and provide the admin for medical student training.
The secretaries, Lindsay Barker, Jasmine Pitt and Jade Jenness, type clinical letters and other correspondence, and process non-NHS services such as medical insurance reports. They provide a point of contact for patients, hospitals and other agencies to answer queries and provide information.
Maxine Worby-Smith joined the practice in 2010 and looks after IT and data quality.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.
Lorraine Adams and Janet Kellingray are our cleaners. They thoroughly clean all areas of the surgery every day to provide a safe environment for our patients and staff.
